Biological science has been expanding tremendously in recent years, and the outcome and knowledge from this field are indispensable for our lives, the progress of culture and society, and the preservation of the natural environment. Furthermore, basic knowledge and analytical techniques in biological science are applicable in diverse areas such as medicine, pharmaceutical science, agricultural science, fisheries, and biotechnology industries, which has remarkably increased the importance of this field of research. We aim to produce graduates with broad vision and research expertise in biological science, and the Department provides an integrated educational program that includes lectures, practicals, and laboratory training, and covers a wide spectrum of biology ranging from molecular biology to environmental biology
