[Others] Research in our laboratory focuses on the cellular and molecular events in liver development and regeneration, and on the analysis of hepatic stem cells. We also have an active program on pattern formation in plumage coloration of quail embryos. We make extensive use of transgenic and knockout mice and mutant quails as well as tissue culture work involving hepatic stem cells purified from fetal mouse livers.
